It looks like the friends website have sold all of the 30 they had left. Well it was a good price i guess.

Well....at least of this current release.

I attended the launch of the Islay Whisky Club in Australia just over two years ago, and they actually obtained the "last bottle" for that particular tasting event. Never fear...a new 30yo release will doubtless appear before too long.

Cheers,

I did a little look around some of the online stores. It's still available in some of them.

What is it going for elsewhere? I picked mine up for £190 when they last had it in.

As someone else has pointed out a while ago on another thread - if you buy direct from Laphroaig (I know there's no 30yo left but they are probably releasing a new batch shortly) and you are a friend, if you wait until your birthday you get 10% off in addition to the normal friends discount.

Last e-mail I got talked about the new 25yo from a vatting of ex-bourbon and ex-oloroso puncheons. Anyone tried this?

Sorry to disappoint you all but the 30yo seems to have been replaced by a 25yo according to what they said at Whisky Live in Glasgow today

That's what I heard as well, also here on these forums. Might stick around for a while though, but there are new expressions coming up...
