Tullamore Dew "Jug" over 40 years old

I hope someone can help me with some information on a Tullamore Dew "Jug" that I have had for over 40 years. It's wax sealed with the original cork attached, unopened. 86 proof 12 years old 1/5 size bottled by D. E Williams for Tullamore Distillery. It's at least pre-1966.
I would be looking for it's potential value, and possible sale, to a collector, or just someone who would enjoy it.
I contacted the current distillery(I think) and they responded very quickly, but told me it was worth between $30-50.
Any help provided would be appreciated.

Yes, these don't fetch a huge price, as there are a lot of them on the market. It is a nice item, though.

Yes unfortunately age dose not necessarily reflect on a higher value.

The whiskey would probably be quite nice but unfortunately these were made for the tourist market as they still are today and as such made in huge numbers and therefore are not very collectable.
