Balvenie 10/12 LCBO prices. Fair?

Balvenie 10 used to go for 45.20 at the LCBO and overnight they increased the price to 50 dollars. The Balvenie 12 DW was and remains 58 and change. Do you believe the Balvenie 12 is only 8 dollars better than the 10? Do you think the 10 merits an overnight price increase of 5.00?

I believe the price increase went into effect on the 10yo when those two 30,000 dollar bottles of Balvenie were brought to the LCBO for sale.

Should people in Ontario still buy the 10 or pay the extra 8 dollars for the DW?

Here in New Brunswick, our Balvenie prices (in C$) are:
- 10yo Founders Reserve: $37.15
- 12yo Double Wood: $47.15
- 17yo New Wood: $51.08
- 1993 Portwood: $52.54
- 15yo Single Barrel: $66.54 (almost $40 less than LCBO!)

I believe that the 17yo New Wood is a limited release, but don't quote me on that.

IMHO, the Double Wood 12 is a big improvement over the 10yo and well worth the extra money. The 1993 Portwood and 17yo New Wood are unbeatable for the price.
