Springbank Cadenhead 1954 / 1979 25 Y.O.

I can't help but take notice of the recent rash of postings on Ebay for a Springbank Cadenhead 1954 / 1979 25 Y.O. bottling. Not that I'm looking to pick one up, just interested in a history lesson. I've never seen any tasting notes on Malt Maniacs or the other notoriable websites. Could this be a fake of some sort or is it the real deal :?:

How much are they asking for. I would expect this to be very expensive if genuine, perhaps as much as £1,000 per bottle. Approach with caution...

Matt - It sold for $560 (about 275 GPS). There were 17 bids totoal but the majority of them were between 3 people. (Driving up the price?) I agrre with you... proceed with caution. :o
