Thanks for that. I'm just wondering about how the Macnab cases sat around for 20 years or so. Seems an extraordinary story.
Anyway, I'm greatly looking forward to trying it. I see on Malt Maniacs that a German man, who has collected many Ledaigs, rates the Macnab 95 and the second-best he has tried.
Recently drank the GM Ledaig 25yo from 1975. Very interesting, lots of malty fruit and restrained spice and a definite pastry note in the flavour, but peat is certainly not a factor.
