Ontario, Balvenie 50yo, 2 bottles $30,000CDN

I just wanted to inform everyone that these two bottles that were the only ones imported into our province, are still available at the LCBO.

If anyone is interested in meeting up and going fifty fifty for a bottle let me know.

You'd think some oil-rich chap from Alberta would fly in and pick one up. $30k is a drop in a big, big bucket for some of them...

The reason some whisky-soaked Albertan hasn't forked over $30,000CDN for a Balvenie 50Yr, is that we don't like paying LCBO prices... "Less Government" is the mantra out here! We have more selection than the Ontario, get rarer products, and are privileged enough to pay a fair price!

Yessir, scotchguy, Alberta definitely has the "fairer whisky price" going for it.

Beyond that...not sure, haha.

I get very irate at the markup at the BC liquor stores. The worst I've seen is Finlaggan. My buddy found a bottle in California for $18 USD. It goes for $71 CAD in BC.

Ridiculous.

I'll be in Calgary in April and plan to have a few dollars to spend on stuff to bring back to BC with me.
