The Glenfarclas "Heritages" mystery...

Hi,

I've just seen in the same shop two different Glenfarclas named "Heritage";
one of 40 or 43°, and the other of 60°.

Could you tell me more about these bottles ?
What ages are they ? (they don't seem to tell it on the bottles)
Is the "Glenfarclas Heritage 60°" the same whisky than the "Glenfarclas
105" described in the Michael Jackson guide (he doesn't use the word
"Heritage") ?

I think it would be better if on each bottle they mentioned clearly the age(s)
of the whisky(ies) that composes it, or if there was a system like the cognac
one (VS, VSOP, XO, etc...). Don't you agree ?
Why don't they do it, especially for the "upper quality" (and upper prices too !)
whiskies like the Glenfarclas ?

Glenfarclas Heritage first turned up here in Australia about 6 to 8 months ago. It comes in a red square tin, and has french text over it.

When I made enquiries on another forum at the time, I was advised that it was a Glenfarclas marketed specifically for France, and is a young malt of around 5 to 8 years old.

I'm afraid I have no information regarding the different alcoholic strengths.

So it is not the same whisky as the "Glenfarclas 105" (that titles also 60°), which is said to be 8 to 10 years old ?

I tasted the Heritage 40% and the 10y 40%, in my opinion the heritage is better than the 10y old.
