ardbeg nam beist 2006 v 2007 editions.

I have open a bottle of Ardbeg NB which, on the label on the reverse says "bottled in the year 2006". The "newer" bottlings now in the shops have "bottled in the year 2007" on the back and it is supposed to taste different (it being from a different batch).

Any chance anyone has both open and wants to write up what the difference is???

I have the 2006 and now thanks to you recordmeister I realize I need to get the 2007 edition.

No worries. I'd love to get tasting notes up on the web site but at present, I only have a bottle of 2006 open. I may try and take a sample of the 2006 to Islay and see if there is a 2007 open up there to compare it with.

I like the fact that Ardbeg has marked out the difference between the editions, even if it is a subtle manner. Well done Ardbeg. IMHO the more info on a bottles label, the better!
