Laphroaig 30 rating question.

Postby psr-740 » Sat May 03, 2008 2:20 am

Hi,
is it a printing mistake that this great whiskey got 3 out of ten rating at the reviews section? I find it hard to believe that this is the rating that the reviewers meant to give.

Maybe a different rating scale... although Dave Broom's notes are hard to decipher. There are a few odd ratings like this on the site.

JM gives it a 94 (2008 Bible), and Malt Maniacs a 89 in 2006.

I believe they issued a rating out of 5 for peat levels in that issue.
Someone will correct me shortly if i am wrong though.

Matthew is spot on! It's an article about "experienced peat level" or something like that which was featured in a whiskymag issue long ago. It has absolutely nothing to do with quality rating.
