Bowmore Legend Disappering?

I have noticed that this whisky is disappearing off the shelves from many liquor stores in my neighborhood. I asked someone at one of them what was going on. He said he thought that he could not get it anymore from his distributors. He was not sure if it was even being bottled anymore or just harder to get now.
I really like this stuff especially the newer bottling. It is an excellent value! The only place I can get it from still is Binny's and Sam's.
Maybe someone can shed so light on this?

BL seems to be one of the less expensive Bowmores...is it good? Worthy buying? Single malt and not blended?

Yes its good, whisky is under 10 years old, I am sure, but still it is good. Peat for cheap

A work colleague was recently given the first bottling of this as a gift (from '94?). Would anyone know how much that's worth these days?

It's available in it's new packaging in Travel retail (i saw it yesterday and assumed it was exclusive to duty free by what someone told me) but only today i saw it in my local Tesco for £20.99 and it was Legend not the 12yr old
