MacAllan Runrig, Glen Gorlinch - Info anyone?

Postby Deactivated Member » Mon Jun 23, 2008 1:25 pm

Does anyone know about these bottles -

Macallan 20 y.o. Runrig Loch Ness 2007, Beat the Dram
- i believe it was a limited bottle produced for the event, only 500 made

Glen Garioch Limited, 21YO Single Malt Whisky

Thinking about adding these to my collection but not sure if they have been highly sought after, or if the MacAllan was sold out

Any info would be appreciated...

I don't know thatparticular Macallan, but in general, any limited edition 'special event' Macallan is highly desirable and worth collecting.

Private Eye, French Revolution, the 'Scottish Cricket' one(s), there's also a church fund one, plus quite a few more.

Most collectors of Macallan spell it without a capital A.

The Duncan Taylor folks said last night that they were doing a Runrig bottling.

Kind of related... :P

Anyone going, who doesn't want a bottle but would be prepared to ship one out?

It is indeed an Aberlour, bottled by Duncan & Taylor:

Anyone have a better idea how many are being bottled?

The website says stock "unlimited" which i hard to believe as last years was only produced in a limited number

ps - tip for you, more than 1 bottle is the same postage :)

1000 bottles.
Once they've gone they'll bottle more.
Looks like DT have a few Aberlour casks to get rid of.
