Got this email today.... happy happy joy joy :D :smoke:

LIMITED EDITION
THE BALVENIE
RUMCASK 17 YEAR OLD
TO BE RELEASED

My name is David Mair and it's my honour to bring you news from The Balvenie Distillery. Read more.

As Balvenie enthusiasts, I thought you'd be keen to know that in September we'll launch a limited edition, The Balvenie RumCask 17 Year Old.

This unusual addition to The Balvenie range has been matured in traditional oak whisky casks before spending a second period of maturation in rum casks shipped all the way from Jamaica.

The result is a sweet, warm, spicy whisky that certainly evokes the warm climes of the tropics.

Kind regards,

David Mair

Has anyone tasted this yet? I noticed they're selling it at RMW for 60 quid, a fiver below RRP. I sense one heading my way. Do you think this is a good investment (just kidding 8))!

Hello All,

Greetings from the Canadian prairies!

I'm fortunate enough to be attending the Balvenie 17 Rum Cask masterclass at the upcoming WLTO. It would be my honour to post a tasting note upon my safe arrival back home.

Slàinte,
Al from Winnipeg
