Win a Highland Park 40 Year Old

Postby Matt2 » Thu Jul 24, 2008 1:46 pm

After reading our exclusive story, you will now know all about Highland Park releasing its oldest ever whisky - the 40 year old bottling - as part of its core range of single malts. To celebrate this launch, we are offering one lucky reader the chance to win a bottle.

Unlike older bottlings launched by other whisky makers, which are often limited editions, Highland Park's 40 year old will be a permanent fixture in their whisky line-up, retailing at £899.

The key artisan design elements of the Highland Park brand are clearly apparent in this bottle. The liquid, with notes of sweet toffee, dark chocolate and hallmark heather peat smokiness is held in a bespoke, decanter styled, glass bottle with handcrafted 'H' amulette in pewter that reflects Highland Park's Viking heritage. The bottle is presented in a solid, oak stained wooden box; finished to cabinet quality, complete with hand-produced leather bound 28 page booklet, filled with details on the 40 years old single malt.

Established in 1798, Highland Park is one of the oldest Scotch whisky distilleries inspiring passion in whisky enthusiasts the world over.

I don't understand the question. What percentage of what? Highland Park? Whisky? Alcohol? Stardust?

That's how I understood the question, that they are looking for the ABV, but I could be wrong.

Ryan, can I have the empty bottle and box when you're done?? It'd be a gorgeous souvenir... I promise not to refill it with tea and sell it on eBay! :P

Let's save the hassle - WM should split the bottle into 14 minis, and send them to the first 14 forum members to post on this thread... which conveniently includes me. :dead:

...and be charged with the splitting into 14 minis? Yes - exactly.

We wouldn't want to burden Matt with further work, but a forum volunteer I'm sure wouldn't mind. :empty:
