Seagram's 1776 Whiskey in Tiffany Decanter

Post Wed Aug 27, 2003 9:16 pm

Hello--
I found a bottle of Seagram's 1776 Whiskey in a Tiffany's decanter among my grandfather's belongings. Empty bottles fail to sell on eBay for even $10. My question is: is the full bottle still sealed worth anything? It still has the "tax" seal and is in a blue box. If so, what venue can I sell it in? eBay won't permit alcohol to be sold. By doing some google searches, I found some auction house that had listed a bottle of this at $200 a while back. Does anybody know the real value and how I can legally find a buyer?
Thanks
