There's a bottling out there called "12 year Old Celtic Malt Whisky", which is produced by the Celtic Spirit Co. in Wales.

My understanding is that new spirit is distilled in Scotland (no idea where), shipped to Wales, mixed with Welsh Spring Water, and casked for maturation.

Anyone know more about this bottling? Has anyone tried it?

Went back to the stall in the City Centre today. The lad staffing it, who freely admitted that he was the "monkey" and not the "organ grinder", told me that 'new spirit' straight from the stills is bought in from a Scottish Malt Distillery. It is then transported down to Wales, diluted to casking strength with Welsh Spring Water, and matured for 12 years in sherry casks. I sampled it. Definitely quite peaty, combined with a pleasant sweetness. Not bad, on first tasting. But I need a larger sample
