Bowmore 12 oldstyle bottle

My uncle has a big whisky collection which he's selling off bottle by bottle without any knowledge what he's actually selling..... I had a nosey through and found amongst other things a Bowmore 12 in the old style Bowmore bottle. I need to look at the bottle again but I believe its from the late 70's / early 80's but could be earlier.

Anybody any idea what its worth?

Also, any tips on where he should be selling his interesting whisky (mainly standard fair but in rare containers such as QE2 porcelien decanter etc...) to make sure he isn't ripped off?

Is the Bowmore a brown dumpy bottle with a gold label, or is it a green tall bottle with a picture of a ship. If it is the first it is worth GBP150, if the second GBP500.

Its the brown dumpy bottle - and £150 is more than my UNcle would have sold it for! I'll get him to get a photo of it and get it posted.
