A selection of bottlings marking Royal occasion
Eeach edition we'll showcase examples of collectible past bottlings that you should have a realistic chance of acquiring from the auction rooms or specialist retailers. Whether you are new to collecting and missed these bottles first time round, or wish to appraise the current value of your collection, this huide will provide you with recent values at auction.
This edition we pick our Royal whisky bottles to mark the imminent arrival of the new Royal baby to the Duke & Duchess of Cambridge. Bottles of Midleton, Crown Royal, the Kings and Queens of Ichiro's Malt card series and Bell's Decanters marking the birth of Princess Eugenie unfortunately failed to make the cut on this occasion. Neither did the £100,000 Diamond Jubilee by John Walker & Sons as it has yet to appear at auction.
However, significant historic occasions involving the British monarchy are frequently celebrated by whisky producers and these limited edition bottlings are sought after by whisky collectors across the globe.
Will you wet the baby's head with one of these?
