Whisky Magazine - Editors Choice - Winner

That Boutique-y Whisky Company Blended Whisky #1 Batch 1
Blended - Scotland - 50.30%
9 Stunning stuff! Intense and spicy. If this isn't whisky of the month I'll eat my shorts!

Whisky Magazine - Recommended - Winner

Buffalo Trace Experimental Collection 12 Years Old Bourbon From Floor #9
Bourbon - U.S.A. - 45.00%
8 Maybe a little on the bitter side for some but I loved it!

Whisky Magazine - Recommended - Winner

Glen Garioch Single Malt Scotch Vintage 1998 Wine Cask Matured
Single Malt - Scotland - 48.00%
8 Superb nose but a very tannic palate.

Whisky Magazine - Recommended - Winner

Single Malts of Scotland Glenrothes 1990
Single Malt - Scotland - 49.40%
8 A pleasant, summery, aperitif dram.

Whisky Magazine - Recommended - Winner

Single Malts of Scotland Longmorn 1992
Single Malt - Scotland - 49.70%
8 Whisky and dark chocolate, a great combination, especially in the same glass!

Whisky Magazine - Recommended - Winner

The Blended Whisky Company The Lost Distilleries Blend Batch 5
Blended - Scotland - 50.40%
8 Is this a 25 year old grain whisky? It certainly feels like one. Very impressive.

Whisky Magazine - Recommended - Winner

The English Whisky Company Chapter 13
Single Malt - England - 45.00%
8 Beautifully mature and elegant.

Abraham Bowman Double Barrel Bourbon
Bourbon - U.S.A. - 50.00%
8 So the palate doesn't quite have the complexity of the nose. But it's a minor quibble!

Armorik Single Malt Whisky Breton Double Maturation
Single Malt - France - 46.00%
8 A pleasant enough dram. I could have done with a little more intensity.

Bowmore Laimrig
Single Malt - Scotland - 53.70%
7 Great nose, but downhill from there for me.

Breizh Whisky Whisky Breton Blended Single Distillerie
Blended - France - 42.00%
8 If only the palate had a little more intensity, then it would have scored a lot higher.

Buffalo Trace Experimental Collection 12 Years Old Bourbon From Floor #1
Bourbon - U.S.A. - 45.00%
8 As I was tasting this I scribbled – must be Eagle Rare 10 Years Old. Is it?

Buffalo Trace Experimental Collection 12 Years Old Bourbon From Floor #5
Bourbon - U.S.A. - 45.00%
9 The clarity of the rye is absolutely stunning. If it turns out that there's no rye here then I'm a Dutchman!

Colonel E. H. Taylor Straight Kentucky Rye Whisky
Bourbon - U.S.A. - 50.00%
8 What can you say? Classy. I'd buy it for the finish alone!

Master of Malt 10 Years Old 1st Edition
Blended - Scotland - 47.50%
8 It lost a few points due to its simplistic palate but apart from that it was very enjoyable.

Single Malts of Scotland Clynelish 1995
Single Malt - Scotland - 57.50%
8 Unbalanced and too alcoholic. Falls apart with water.

Single Malts of Scotland Glen Grant 1992
Single Malt - Scotland - 57.80%
8 I think this could have done with more time in the cask.

Single Malts of Scotland Tobermory 1994
Single Malt - Scotland - 55.80%
8 My only quibble is that it's a bit dry on the finish. Best with a drop of water.

That Boutique-y Whisky Company Bruichladdich Batch 1
Single Malt - Scotland - 49.60%
8 Dilution does it no favours!

The English Whisky Company Chapter 7
Single Malt - England - 46.00%
7 I could have done with a little less oak on the palate.

The English Whisky Company Distiller's Elect
Single Malt - England - 46.00%
8 Far too much oak. The spirit never stood a chance
