Whisky Magazine - Editors Choice - Winner

Corsair Triple Smoke Single Barrel Distiller Select
Single Malt - U.S.A. - 67.50%
9 It's a love or hate whisky and I love it.

Whisky Magazine - Recommended - Winner

Old Forester Birthday Bourbon
Bourbon - U.S.A. - 48.50%
8 This is seriously intense and seriously impressive!

Whisky Magazine - Recommended - Winner

Old Pulteney 35 Years Old
Single Malt - Scotland - 42.50%
4 A pleasant, mature whisky, which has almost succumbed to the oak.

Whisky Magazine - Recommended - Winner

Parker's Heritage Collection Original Batch
Wheat - U.S.A. - 63.70%
8 This has alcohol, complexity and character in abundance.

Whisky Magazine - Recommended - Winner

The Glenlivet Guardian's Chapter
Single Malt - Scotland - 48.70%
8 You could argue that it's a bit simple but when it delivers simple like this, who needs complexity?

anCnoc 18 Years Old
Single Malt - Scotland - 46.00%
7 A whisky of two halves! Big and oaky on the nose but crisp and fresh on the palate.

Angels' Nectar Blended Malt First Edition
Blended Malt - Scotland - 40.00%
7 Young, characterful malt which will be fascinating to see how this develops if given more time in the cask.

Benromach Single Malt Scotch Whisky 10 Years Old 100 Proof
Single Malt - Scotland - 57.00%
7 Surprisingly easy to drink neat, the palate not as alcoholic as the nose suggests.

Berrys' Single Malt Scotch Whisky 1997 Clynelish Cask #4043
Single Malt - Scotland - 46.00%
7 The nose initially feels a little lumpen but give it some time and aeration.

Compass Box Whisky Company The Lost Blend
Blended Malt - Scotland - 46.00%
8 Bottled in the nick of time. Any longer in the cask and the oak would dominate.

Edradour Straight From the Cask Chateauneuf du Pape Cask Finish 11 Years Old
Single Malt - Scotland - 58.90%
7 It's a young sherry monster, which could have come from anywhere.

Glendalough Double Barrel Whiskey
Single Grain - Republic of Ireland - 42.00%
7 Unencumbered by complexity, but it's a pleasant quaffer, as they say.

Glenmorangie Tùsail
Single Malt - Scotland - 46.00%
8 A lovely robust, deep whisky with a delightful finish. What more can you say?

Ichiro's Malt Chichibu Chibidaru
Single Malt - Japan - 53.50%
7 Water makes it easier to drink.

Mackmyra Moment Bärnsten
Single Malt - Sweden - 49.80%
8 Entertaining but it just lacks some sweetness to balance the alcohol and rye.

Paul John Indian Single Malt Single Cask #1444
Single Malt - India - 59.70%
8 Wow, this has come out of left field. Is it made from some kind of multi-grain mash?

Smokehead Islay Single Malt Rock Edition
Single Malt - Scotland - 43.00%
8 I would have liked to have seen this bottled at 46% or 50% as it would have given the palate more intensity.

That Boutique-y Whisky Company Aberlour Batch 3
Single Malt - Scotland - 49.20%
8 A bit simple but pleasantly bracing.

The English Whisky Company Chapter 15
Single Malt - England - 46.00%
8 It's an odd one this with most of the character appearing on the palate.

The GlenDronach, Abbey Whisky Exclusive Single Cask 1994
Single Malt - Scotland - 54.80%
8 Pure, clean, natural sherry character.

Wemyss Vintage Malts Bench with as Sea View
Single Malt - Scotland - 46.00%
8 Beautifully balanced. Gritty oak and coastal notes hint at an Islander but the oak and honey says Speyside. Grantown-on-sea?
