8 A sherry monster and a half. Completely blemish free but a sherry monster nevertheless.

7 After that wonderfully voluptuous nose the palate was a bit of an anti-climax, but it's still a pleasant blend.

The Octave Glenburgie
Single Malt - Scotland - 55.70%
8 A very clean, unblemished, herbal sherry monster. Completely lacking in subtlety for me, but this style of whisky has its adherents!

Wemyss Malts Kiln Embers
Blended Malt - Scotland - 46.00%
8 The Islay component is quite dominating but there is a lovely balancing sweetness from the other malt components.
