Whisky Magazine - Editors Choice - Winner

Glencadam 19 Years Old Oloroso Sherry Cask Finish
Single Malt - Scotland - 46.00%
9 Whisky like this makes tasting an absolute pleasure.

Whisky Magazine - Recommended - Winner

Ailsa Bay Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Single Malt - Scotland - 48.90%
8 Although pleasant, I think it has been bottled just in time.

Whisky Magazine - Recommended - Winner

Ballantine's 21 Years Old Signature Oak Edition
Blended - Scotland - 40.00%
8 An exquisite blend with what appears to be quite a high malt content and some lovely age.

Whisky Magazine - Recommended - Winner

Ben Nevis 15 Years Old Single Cask
Single Malt - Scotland - 59.70%
8 Ideally it needs a drop of water but then you lose that lovely intensity.

Whisky Magazine - Recommended - Winner

Berrys' Single Malt Scotch Whisky 1992, Glenlossie, Cask #3472
Single Malt - Scotland - 46.00%
8 A beautiful, mature Spey. A little more oak would have seen it score even higher.

Whisky Magazine - Recommended - Winner

Darkness! Tobermory 16 Years Old
Single Malt - Scotland - 54.90%
9 A lovely character if you like a good chunk of manure with your malt. Funnily enough, I do!

Whisky Magazine - Recommended - Winner

Michter's Single Barrel Bourbon 10 Years Old
Bourbon - U.S.A. - 47.20%
8 An absolutely fascinating nose.

Whisky Magazine - Recommended - Winner

Syndicate 58/6 12 Years Old
Blended - Scotland - 40.00%
9 Ooh, now that has a beautiful palate cleansing finish!

Whisky Magazine - Recommended - Winner

The Antiquary 35 Years Old
Blended - Scotland - 46.00%
9 I need a big cigar, my slippers and a leather armchair next to a roaring fire to appreciate this!

Whisky Magazine - Recommended - Winner

The Glenlivet Nàdurra Peated Whisky Cask Finish
Single Malt - Scotland - 61.50%
8 You would have thought at this ABV it needs water, but that just makes it overly sweet and confected.

Whisky Magazine - Recommended - Winner

Woodford Reserve Master's Collection 1838 Style White Corn
Bourbon - U.S.A. - 45.20%
9 Copious eulogising is definitely deserved, but to be brief… wow!

A. D. Laws Secale Straight Rye Whiskey, Single Barrel Cask Strength
Rye - U.S.A. - 66.00%
8 Young, but entertaining.

Angels' Nectar Blended Malt Rich Peat Edition
Blended Malt - Scotland - 46.00%
8 It's always fun trying to guess the components of a blend. It comes across like a vatting of Caol Ila, Ledaig and Highland Park.

Hyde Irish Whiskey 10 Years Old Rum Cask Finish
Single Malt - Republic of Ireland - 46.00%
8 I don't think I've tasted a whisky quite like it. Has it been finished in an ex-Riesling cask half full of wine? By the way, I love Riesling!

J. H. Original Selection Rye Whisky
Rye - Austria - 46.00%
8 If this is what I think it is, then it's showing more maturity than it did two years ago.

Knappogue Castle 12 Years Old
Single Malt - Republic of Ireland - 40.00%
8 Poised, elegant and very well balanced. A lovely drop of the Irish as they say.

Littlemill 2015 Private Cellar Edition
Single Malt - Scotland - 50.40%
8 It has a spotlessly clean sherry finish.

PUNI Alba
Single Malt - Italy - 43.00%
8 Curious and entertaining. I would have liked to have seen a little more balancing oak character on the palate.

Rock Oyster Limited Edition Cask Strength
Blended Malt - Scotland - 57.40%
7 Tricky to draw a conclusion.

Yellow Rose Outlaw Bourbon
Bourbon - U.S.A. - 46.00%
8 Quite well developed showing complexity and balance.
