Three Ships 10 Years Old Limited Edition
Single Malt - South Africa - 44.60% 9 Normally I would complain about the palate not displaying the exuberance of the nose, but I can't moan at all about the depth and quality!
Berry's Single Malt Scotch Whisky 1989, Glen Garioch, Cask #7856
Single Malt - Scotland - 54.60% 8 If the palate was as exuberant as the nose then this would have been exceptional.
Kinloch 35 Years Old Vintage Blend
Blended - Scotland - 46.00% 8 You could say it's a one-dimensional sherry-heavy blend, but it has some lovely maturity.
Lombard Springbank 1991
Single Malt - Scotland - 50.00% 8 Not your average Campbeltown malt. It bears more than a passing resemblance to Arran!
Old Forester 1920 Prohibition Style
Bourbon - U.S.A. - 57.50% 9 A great dram to finish the evening.
Parker's Heritage Collection 24 Years Old Bourbon 10th Edition
Bourbon - U.S.A. - 50.00% 8 Now that's how I like my Bourbon, hard and spicy with no fat and flabby corn!
Smögen Wee Swede
Single Malt - Sweden - 62.50% 8 Intense and primal. Those Swedes have come up with a cracker again!
Teeling Revival Volume II
Single Malt - Republic of Ireland - 46.00% 8 Wonderfully vibrant and inviting, just like an Irish girl I once knew!
That Boutique-y Whisky Company Carsebridge 52 Years Old Batch 1
Single Grain - Scotland - 40.50% 9 Perfectly balanced with poise and elegance. A must-buy!
The BenRiach Tawny Port Wood Finish 21 Years Old
Single Malt - Scotland - 46.00% 8 For a sherry monster, it has a lovely lightness of touch.
The Tweeddale The Last Centennial
Blended Malt - Scotland - 52.20% 8 That's how to use peated malt in a blend! Superb progression.
Big Peat Limited Edition Christmas 2016
Blended Malt - Scotland - 54.60% 8 It appears to be a blend of peated malts. Could benefit from a little light and shade.
Glencadam 18 Years Old
Single Malt - Scotland - 46.00% 8 A pleasant, unpretentious and straightforward Highland malt.
Glenfiddich Experimental Series #01 IPA Experiment
Single Malt - Scotland - 43.00% 8 As much as I like American oak, it was too dominant on the palate for me.
Hyde Irish Whiskey Single Grain Burgundy Cask Finish
Single Grain - Republic of Ireland - 46.00% 7 Pleasantly intense, although it sort of runs out of steam towards the end.
Single Grain - Slovenia - 40.00% 7 Definitely interesting. I can see Bourbon fans enjoying this.
Lombard Speyside 1988
Blended Malt - Scotland - 43.00% 7 Straightforward but bracing and charming with plenty of Speyside character.
Tomatin 1995 21 Years Old
Single Malt - Scotland - 46.00% 8 An incredibly laid back, mature malt. A dram that requires time and contemplation.
Tullibardine The Murray
Single Malt - Scotland - 57.80% 8 It's Auchentoshan on steroids!
Wemyss Malts Single Cask Release East Neuk Dunes
Single Malt - Scotland - 46.00% 7 The oak hasn't fully removed the unwanted impurities, but left any longer the oak would have probably overwhelmed the palate.
