Organisers of Limburgâs Whisky Festival 2004 have pulled out all the stops to try and better the enormous success of last yearâs festival and a major attraction is the launch of a special bottling of the difficult to find malt â Croftenegea.
Distilled at Loch Lomond Distillery in Dumbartonshire, the malt said to be one of the most peated maltsproduced in Scotland â with a peating
level comparable to Islayâs Ardbeg, Laphroaig or Lagavulin and up until now it has only been produced strictly as a blending malt.
The barrel, having been specially selected for the fair, will be the first Croftengea to be released and likely to become a collectorâs item due to its rarity value so we are very lucky to have two bottles to give away to readers.
Only 200 bottles were originally available and at the time of going to press these had already sold out so this is your only chance to get hold of
this rare malt.
To win simply send us your details to the usual address, to reach us before 14th May 2004.
âWhisky 2004â will take place on Saturday 24th April from 11.00â19.00 and Sunday 25th April 10.00â19.00 in the Josef Kohlmaier Halle, Limburg in Germany.
