The latest figure to reach a milestone in the whisky industry is Glen Moray’s, distillery manager Edwin Dodson, who is celebrating 40 years service.

The latest figure to reach a milestone in the whisky industry is Glen Moray’s, distillery manager Edwin Dodson, who is celebrating 40 years service.

With nearly 30 years at Glenmorangie he joined Glen Moray as a brewer working his way up to the role of distillery manager – to become
only the fourth person to hold the position.

When Glenmorangie purchased Ardbeg distillery in 1997, Edwin lead the team that restored the distillery to its former glory.

To mark this anniversary, Edwin has selected a very limited edition Glen Moray Manager’s Choice using carefully selected oak casks from
the mountains of North America.

The aptly named Mountain Oak Malt is a 12 year-old whisky bottled at cask strength and Edwin has hand numbered and signed each of the 800 bottles.

Edwin said “This is the first time we have married together whisky from both charred and toasted first fill casks and the result has been the
creation of a particularly sweet and spicy expression of Glen Moray – a great way to toast 40 years in the industry.”
