South Africa's internationally aligned whisky festivals, the First National Bank Whisky Live Festivals, take place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre from October 26-28 and in Johannesburg at the Sandton Convention Centre from November 2-4, 2005.
Since inception in 2003, the FNB Whisky Live Festivals have become an important showcase for the drink in an emergent market.
More and more smaller distillers from Scotland, Ireland, the US and Canada have watched the growth of the Festival with interest and are eager to enter the South African market.
The Festivals have fast become the largest whisky consumer shows in the world attended by more than 7,000 enthusiasts.
Each Festival houses a “whisky lifestyle” Tasting Hall as well as the popular Whisky Workshops providing an educational and entertaining platform for both whisky novice and connoisseur.
Entry fee includes the third edition of the SA Whisky Handbook, a tasting glass and a book of 15 coupons.
