How do the Scots like their whisky? They love it LIVE
The water of life flowed freely at this year’s Whisky Live show in Glasgow, with thousands of dram hunters making the pilgrimage to the event held in the main square of Scotland’s biggest city.
With people paying at the door and passers-by discovering for themselves this new annual event, attendance hit more than 2,500, by far and away the highest attendance yet for the event.
Three quarters of the advance bookings were from Scotland but reservations were made from Sweden to South Africa and from Austria to Australia.
Visitors were given the chance to sample whiskies voted as the world’s best by professional tasters. There were special masterclasses , the chance to taste whisky with the best cigars from this year’s Whisky Magazine Whisky and Cigar Challenge, live music, coopering demonstrations and even the opportunity to indulge in a spot of golf.
All inall further proof that whisky remains the lifeblood of Scotland and its people.
