Jewel in the Crown
Hundreds of people flocked to one of India’s top hotels recently to sample some of the best whiskies the world has to offer.
Held at the Leela Kempinski in Delhi, Whisky Luxe India appealed to the enthusiast and the aficionado, with expert advice on hand and the opportunity to learn about the whisky basics, and was intended to provide the ultimate whisky experience. The show gave consumers the unique opportunity to sample great whiskies, while mingling with the producers and distillers, marketers and visitor centre staff, all under one roof. In addition to learning about the world of whisky, guests had the opportunity to sample rare and sought after whiskies and meet the stars of the industry.
A number of first happened this year including: The American Express Whisky Master class by Whisky Magazine’s Editor, the launch of Forbes Life in India and a showing of Versace Smoking accessories.
With great food, the Haggis ceremony, Beam’s show girls and more, Whisky Luxe India was a great evening out and a memorable night.
