Tasting Notes

Michael Jackson Nose Polished leather. Mature, finessed. Palate Firmly malty. Hint of smoky peat, plus rooty liquorice and anise. Tightly combined flavours. Finish Surprisingly fresh oak. Sappiness and log fires; warming. Comment More sophisticated, especially in the finish. Better balanced, but less voluptuous maltiness.

Jim Murray Nose A faultlessly clean and deep sherry aroma with a mint residue and beautiful lemon notes. Compelling Palate Deep, moderatly dry throughout with a slow build up of peppery spices and smoke. Malty, grapey succulence with some cocoa bitterness giving extra complexity. Finish Amazingly long and brilliantly weighted, the fruitiness sweetens the malt gracefully. Comment A really excellent and classy Aberlour showing amazing complexity for its age.
