- Nose
- Quick maltiness, then extraordinarily powerful berry-fruit: blackberries?
- Palate
- Dry toffee, cream, fruit, nutmeg. Oaky sappiness.
- Finish
- Dry sherry.
- Comment
- A little more roundness would have been appreciated.

- Nose
- Lovely bourbon notes make their mark as the soft oaky character charms the daylights out of you. Some minty, nutty notes add a secondary layer of interest.
- Palate
- Deep-textured and estery with excellent spices.
- Finish
- Long and mouthwatering to a fault, with rich barley.
- Comment
- The texture and estery nature is a shock: all rather un-Aberlour-ish. Not as spicy as the usual aged malt from this distillery, but a gem nonetheless.
