- Nose
- Drily flowery-herbal aromas. Roses. Vanilla. Moving to a suggestion of tobacco.
- Palate
- Smooth, with tightly-combined flavours. Some buttery maltiness. Candied lemon peel. Cinnamon. Garden mint.
- Finish
- A surge of spiciness. Very long. Warming.

- Nose
- Initially quite crisp with a fairly hot nose burn and citric. Seems strangely immature with very faint sherried notes.
- Palate
- A creamy centre, but everything is muted.
- Finish
- A little short with minty tones.
- Comment
- Easily drowned with water. The standard 15 Years Old is stunning, but this just seems gawky and awkward. There are so many Aberlour variants on the market – I'm getting mightily confused.
