Nose
Fruity sourness. Cider apple. Ripe apricot. Vanilla cream biscuits. Fresh saw. Sappy. Beewax. A floral touch. Gillyflower. Palate
Round and mellow. Oak frames the fruity flavours. Light spices. Enticing. Finish
Medium, sweet with a fresh bitter edge. Nutty. Comment
A rich grain whisky on the fruity side. Interesting.
Dave Broom
Nose
Appealing, complex and broad becoming honeyed with fudge/tablet, cream and BIG vanilla toffee notes. Herbal as well, with some fresh pineapple and pear. Water firms the oak up. Palate
Very smooth and rounded but given balancing grip from the oak. Fudge, tangerine, zest. Touch of firm grain on the sides. It then drifts into smooth toffee once more. Finish
Lush long and ripe. Macaroon bars. Comment
Best on its own or one cube of ice.
