Tasting Notes

Michael Jackson Nose Heather. Flowery. Mint. Menthol. Faintly medicinal. Salt. Palate Very light but oily. Passion fruit. Grassy. Finish Minty. Peppermint. Drying. Comment Interesting, but not typical.

Jim Murray Nose Classically malty and fat on the nose but with an exceptional fresh fruit richness. Quite lovely. Palate Gloriously oily and malty. Fabulously clean malt interspersed with gentle spice and vanilla. Finish Long and simple. Little complexity but an attractive malt glow lingers, helped by the rich oils. Comment Better than either of the standard bottlings and true to the style which has made this the island's most popular dram.
