Nose
Shellfish, caramelised pecan, overripe medlar. Chocolate fudge. Spirity, biting. A breath of smoke. Palate
Harsh at the start, calming down when tamed with a good dash of water, but still on fiery side. Finish
Hot, spicy and sappy. Comment
Pungent and vibrant but lacks the beautiful Clynelish style.
Dave Broom
Nose
Intense with lovely waxy weight. Honey and sea breezes with lightly phenolic notes behind. Palate
Luscious, silky fruits: honey/beeswax, coconut. Well-balanced with the high alcohol giving it a good bite. Finish
Fresh. Comment
All the classic Clynelish characteristics with added youthful intensity. Already complex.
