- Nose
- Aromatic, fruity, flowery, vegetal (dock leaves?), appetising.
- Palate
- Biscuity, cracker-like. Edible seaweed. Interplay of sweetness, spicy mustard and vegetal dryness.
- Finish
- Peppery. Very salty.
- Comment
- Not the most peaty Clynelish I have tasted, but a lovely, distinctive whisky.

- Nose
- Vivid, nutty. Custard, lemon curd, aniseed. A smoky hint like a distant bonfire. Toffee notes.
- Palate
- Sweet, quite smoky (cold ashes). Curd-like texture. Apricot jam. Very refreshing, delicate spiciness. With water, a spice explosion.
- Finish
- Slightly dry. Lovely citrus and walnut notes.
- Comment
- A light-bodied lovely outdoor dram, to serve with barbecued fish. Fresh like a sea-breeze.
