Tasting Notes

Michael Jackson Nose Hazelnuts. The skin of the nut. Papery. Toasty. Palate Smooth as polished oak. Treacle-toffee. Walnuts. Finish Sappy. Slightly sour. Comment Enough character and complexity to withstand the heavy oakiness, but beginning to show its age.

Dave Broom Nose Treacle and molasses, almost fungal. Nut bowl, leather and bitter chocolate, even cold tea. Palate Thick to start then increasingly bitter and tannic. Finish Dry and bitter. Comment A lot of wood...a lot of sherry wood but not a lot of Glen Grant.
