- Palate
- Smooth. Estery. Cooked morello cherries. A hint of creamy nougat. Nutty. Late spiciness.
- Finish
- Smoky. Peaty.
- Comment
- The better balanced of these two Glen Grants. The more integrated flavours. Seems to have matured better.

- Nose
- Oloroso wood with some fragrant/nutty notes some heavily roasted coriander/cumin seed, coffee and treacle. Water brings out chocolate, singed wool and walnut whip.
- Palate
- Chocolatey, tannic and smoky.
- Finish
- Dry and slightly bitter from wood tannins.
- Comment
- Old, venerable even, but only of historical interest.
