Nose
Lovely soft peat, rounded with malt.
Palate
Medium to full body. Some treacle toffee. Cobnuts. Sherry. Winey. Coffee. Straw.
Finish
Woody. Less so with water. Light, dry.
Comment
Tullibardine is a gentle, civilised, malt that seems to live in obscurity. Nice to be reminded of its existence. Could be a golfers dram – the distillery is near Gleneagles.

Nose
Initially perfumed: dried herb, heather honey, dried lavender, mothballs. Followed by a pleasant dunnage warehouse smell: alcohol, earth, mellow wood.
Palate
Dry and intensely perfumed honey and spice with fresh malt.
Finish
Dry, woody. Fresh herbs, light smokiness.
Comment
Has held its character well considering its age.
