Tasting Notes

Michael Jackson Nose Soft. Fresh. Heather. Grass. Sweet. Vanilla. Oak. Palate Very malty. Cookie-like. Pale toast. Very dry. Some bitter-orange marmalade. Finish Cereal grain. Some peat. Earthy. Comment The confident virtues of a good Speyside whisky: malt, heather and peat. Well-combined but without either refinements or flourishes.

Dave Broom Nose Assertive maltiness with cooked apple, sweet hay and an intense fragrant/perfumed lift. Delicate but seductive. Palate A sweet, perfumed start then that dry malt/nut cuts through to balance well. Some smoke. Finish Dry, hay like. Crisp malt. Comment A gorgeous, refreshing summery glass.
