- Nose
- Soft. Fresh. Heather. Grass. Sweet. Vanilla. Oak.
- Palate
- Very malty. Cookie-like. Pale toast. Very dry. Some bitter-orange marmalade.
- Finish
- Cereal grain. Some peat. Earthy.
- Comment
- The confident virtues of a good Speyside whisky: malt, heather and peat. Well-combined but without either refinements or flourishes.

- Nose
- Assertive maltiness with cooked apple, sweet hay and an intense fragrant/perfumed lift. Delicate but seductive.
- Palate
- A sweet, perfumed start then that dry malt/nut cuts through to balance well. Some smoke.
- Finish
- Dry, hay like. Crisp malt.
- Comment
- A gorgeous, refreshing summery glass.
