Nose
Light, dry. Slight burnt grass. Then lemongrass and mint. Palate
Lightly syrupy. Herbal, minty, rummy. Finish
Hint of cloves. Warming. Soothing. Very long. Comment
A pale, shimmery gold dram with flavours one expects from a bigger, darker, whisky. Slightly odd, but enjoyable. Could be a flavoured spirit from a little-known, newly independent republic in Central Asia.
Dave Broom
Nose
Fragrant and soft with lemon sherbet, crisp apple/apple blossom. Long and soft. Palate
Soft with creamy notes. The fragrant spirit and the (apple) wood in superb balance. Attractive and delightful. Finish
Dry then syrup sponge pudding. Comment
Lifted and aromatic. Who said malt whisky had to be all about smoke and bluster?
