- Nose
- Sea air. Seaweed. Oak, rope, leather.
- Palate
- Malty, toffeeish, sweet, fruity. Barbecue wood. Mustard. Salt.
- Finish
- Distinctly sappy, smoky and very warming.
- Comment
- Rich and creamy, with huge flavour development.

- Nose
- The peat courses through the aroma, in perfect balance and harmony with the oily malt.
- Palate
- The malt is soft at first but then, the peatiness gathers pace and intensity until it positively glows.
- Finish
- The oak Bourbon-malt-peat-cocoa characters all ebb and flow but is joined by a late fruity ripeness and a sprinkling of peppers.
- Comment
- This is the finest whisky I have ever tasted. As close to perfection as makes no difference.
