72- Nose
- Oaky. Fresh sawdust. Vanilla toffee. A light cheesy note at start. Hint of cinnamon as well.
- Palate
- Smooth, satin-like at start but soon followed by a burning sensation and an oaky grip.
- Finish
- Warm and astringent, leaving a numbing sensation.
- Comment
- Although the nose is pretty smooth, the alcohol is not mastered on the palate. Lacks balance.

- Fresh and slightly mealy with a light green note: think whittled sticks and wet grass.
- Palate
- Clean and quite light but a sound balance between the wood and the spirit, with the former in the background. Hazelnuts, star anise and buttery biscuits.
- Finish
- Vanilla and nuts.
- Comment
- A real step up in quality. One to watch.
