- Nose
- Woody. Logs in a wood yard.
- Palate
- Silky. Black chocolate. Brazil nuts. Hard toffee. Some orangey notes. Orange creams.
- Finish
- Spicy. Gingery.
- Comment
- An enjoyable after dinner malt, though not especially complex.
80
- Nose
- Rounded and fruity to start: baked apple, honey, peach stone. Water brings out a damp straw/hay note and more ‘foresty' aromas of nut, moss, fern and leaf.
- Palate
- The baked apple note is there along with a youthful spiciness. A sweet mid-palate and good balance.
- Finish
- A little short.
- Comment
- An extremely well-made, if young, spirit. One to watch.
