Tasting Notes

Michael Jackson Nose Woody. Logs in a wood yard. Palate Silky. Black chocolate. Brazil nuts. Hard toffee. Some orangey notes. Orange creams. Finish Spicy. Gingery. Comment An enjoyable after-dinner malt, though not especially complex.

Dave Broom Nose Rounded and fruity to start: baked apple, honey, peach stone. Water brings out a damp straw/hay note and more ‘foresty’ aromas of nut, moss, fern and leaf. Palate The baked apple note is there along with a youthful spiciness. A sweet mid-palate and good balance. Finish A little short. Comment An extremely well-made, if young, spirit. One to watch.
