Dave Broom
Nose
Distant. Dry grass, wood shavings/green oak with a mashtun like aroma to the back. Florist shop buckets. With water, cereal and moss.
Palate
Very light. Light grip (rice crispies) becomes softer to the back palate. A splash of water smoothes it showing soft fruit, a floral touch. Juicy cereal.
Finish
Short, clean, nutty.
Comment
Better on palate than the nose, but so fragile it shatters easily.

Nose
Nutty, with a beautiful display of elegant fruitynotes . Multi layered. Pears cooked in a vanilla syrup, cider apples, flaked almond pie.
Palate
Mellow but does not infuse the palate. Flavours are vague, like lost in a mist. A watery touch. The nose promised more aromatic delivery.
Finish
Gentle but fading quickly.
Comment
Did that whisky stay too long in cask? It certainly is not at its best.
