Dave Broom
Nose
Similar to the 30 Years Old, this time with extra coconut and fragrance (green fig, lemon, marshmallow) then there’s cooked pear. Becomes waxy with some pollen.
Palate
An ash-like quality then a subtle, fragrant, palate. Aromatic woods, pot pourri. Light and creamy with a lovely texture that lifts into. After Eight mint.
Finish
Dries to cereal again.
Comment
Old but still fresh. All very discreet. At its best neat.

Nose
Floral, perfumy. Cedary with a pleasant earthy note (pine needles). The floral note is swept by fruit (apple juice).
Palate
Smooth and velvety. Very fresh and inviting. Liquorice losanges. Hint of toffee.
Finish
Biscuity, lingers on liquorice, with a hint of oak.
Comment
An appetising dram, more complex than it seems. Still alert though quite matured (quite a comforting thought !)
