Tasting Notes

Michael Jackson Nose Perfumes of lemon-grass, linseed oil and vanilla. Palate Zest of lemon, marshmallow. Sweet but not cloying. Finish Vanilla, perfumy. Good balance, nicely rounded. Soothing. Long. Comment Very expressive when young – as might be expected from a classic Lowlander.

Jim Murray Nose Lively and enticing: soft peppers, citrus and oak. Superb Palate Surprisingly oily for a triple-distilled malt. Mouthwateringly fresh barley and a superb crisp, slightly sweet malt-chocolate interplay – like a Malteser candy. Finish A sweet malt glow. Comment A highly sophisticated dram. Intensely malty. Has improved enormously over the last few years.
