- Lightly salty and peaty. Black chocolate.
- Palate
- Light shortbread. Creamy. Hint of raspberries. Spiciness emerging. Very slightly peppery.
- Finish
- Gentle fruity dryness.
- Comment
- Gentle, but complex as the flavours open.
Jim Murray

- A lively aroma bristling with heather and a hint of honey and prickly malt notes.
- Palate
- Firm and dry mouthfeel suggests a busy malt: after a short lull much fruitier, fleshy notes appear.
- Finish
- This is where it comes good: massive complexity sparked off by a touch of smoke and more heather. Fabulous and faultless bittersweet balance.

- Takes time to get going, but worth the wait.
