Tasting Notes

Michael Jackson

Nose
Lightly salty and peaty. Black chocolate.
Palate
Light shortbread. Creamy. Hint of raspberries. Spiciness emerging. Very slightly peppery.
Finish
Gentle fruity dryness.
Comment
Gentle, but complex as the flavours open.

Jim Murray

Nose
A lively aroma bristling with heather and a hint of honey and prickly malt notes.
Palate
Firm and dry mouthfeel suggests a busy malt: after a short lull much fruitier, fleshy notes appear.
Finish
This is where it comes good: massive complexity sparked off by a touch of smoke and more heather. Fabulous and faultless bittersweet balance.
Comment
Takes time to get going, but worth the wait.
