Tasting Notes

Martine Nouet Nose Intense, mature. Beewax, Crème brûlée. Cider cellar (old wood, apples, damp walls) Toasted nuts. Parma violet. What an aromatic trip! Palate Neat. Stewed fruit (apricot and prunes). Rose syrup. Delicate oak. Finish Long, reluctantly fading. Pleasantly bitter. Dark chocolate. Walnut skin. Passion fruit. Comment A pure beauty. Absolutely beaming on nose and palate. The best a sherry cask can offer.

Dave Broom Nose Similar to the 16 Years Old, though with greater elegance and maturity: more biscuity notes, saddles, dried fruits, demerara, sultana cake, roasted chestnut. Palate Mature: bung cloth, spices galore. Good full mouthfeel with fine tannic grip, toffee, and a sweet, yet nutty balance. Finish Toffee – then goes on forever. Comment Subtle, nuanced and complex.
