Michael Jackson Nose Very aromatic and appetising. Hints of the sea. Some earthiness. Surprisingly peaty. Palate Seed cake. Textured, sweet. Some creaminess. Vanilla. Finish Lemony. Slightly sharp. A touch of salt. Comment For a whisky that is very light when young, this matures surprisingly well and for long periods

Jim Murray Nose Butterscotch, cumquats and almonds combine to offer a most tantalising and complex nose. Palate Shuddering arrival of firm oak. Softened by a voluptuous sweet malt concentrate. Finish Finely balanced with some smoke and chocolate drifting serenely over the sweet malt and oak. Comment Unquestionably one of the finest Balblairs released.
