Nose
Grassy, delicate. Drying hay, honey. Ripe summer fruit: peaches, pears. Quite shy at first. Getting herbal. verbena, lime-tree. Aniseed.
Palate
Rich texture. Thick satin. Some oiliness. Sweet and fresh. Lots of aniseed and star anis. Custard.
Finish
Sweet, intense, lingering.
Comment
A beautiful example of a well-matured Bourbon cask whisky. Still lively and dashing. The perfect “herbal tea”.

Nose
Caramel wafer, raisin bread, honey and oats with a little oak and pencil cases. A herbal quality and some tropical fruit.
Palate
Mouth coating, spreads like olive oil. Sweetness balances with good oak notes. Spices lurk in the background.
Finish
Mouth watering and quite long.
Comment
Another brilliant example of this distillery revealing the silverware. A great dram.
