- Nose
- Maple syrup sweetness with a burning ember aroma behind. A glowing campfire of exotic woods.
- Palate
- Mental. Burning pyres. The smoke remains in this weird woodsmoke, while the spirit shows itself as being very sweet, slightly lean, but very clean.
- Finish
- A slight edginess but this is a hugely original smoked whiskey.
- Comment
- For some reason I keep thinking of Gram Parson's immolation at Joshua Tree.

- Nose
- Oaky. Damp wood (a cask in a warehouse) with a musty note. Cedar wood. Wood, wood, wood… In the back a floral note (heady flower). Very unusual.
- Palate
- And wood again… Musty, woody, bitter. Walnut stain. Surprisingly, the alcohol is rather well mastered.
- Finish
- Bitter, short.
- Comment
- A Bourbon which has stayed too long in oak ?
